GF Ham

A sweet, easy, tasty ham. I like to stock up on these hams around the holidays when they go on sale to .99/lb. and freeze them to enjoy the rest of the year. The butternut squash below is so tasty! If you think you don’t like squash, try this recipe and change your mind.

GF Ham
1 ham shank, fully cooked
Gulden’s Spicy Brown Mustard
Brown sugar
Honey

My ham was about 9 lbs. so I cooked it at 325* for 3 hours to warm it through. Then I pulled it for the oven and cut off the fatty outside layer. Then I scored it about 1 inch by 1 inch. Then spread the mustard all over the ham, pressed on brown sugar, and then drizzled with honey. Bake at 375* for 30 more minutes.

I served it with corn and baked butternut squash. I find if you purée the squash it naturally tastes much sweeter.

GF Butternut Squash

1 butternut squash, cut in half length wise and deseeded
2 Tbsp butter
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Bake at 325* on a metal baking sheet for 1 hour. When squash pierces easily, remove from oven and separate from skin. Place squash in a food processor with butter and brown sugar. Purée until smooth.

I’m Kelli

I built this corner of the internet after celiac entered our house and I realized I had to relearn how to cook from the ground up. Recipes I’d known by heart suddenly betrayed me, and my confidence in the kitchen disappeared overnight. Out of that season of crumbly experiments, small victories, and determination to make food that still felt like home, this site slowly grew. I wanted to share that journey with you so your table can feel normal, maybe even a little faster than mine did.
